Karachi: Hamza Hotak displayed lethal bowling show and captured a five-wicket haul to help visiting Afghanistan A team record a formidable nine-wicket victory against Karachi-Hyderabad Region team on Wednesday at Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad.
The local team batted first during the match and put on board a measly total of 112 runs before they were all bundled out in 38th over. Mohtashim Ali and Mohammad Sami top scored for the side with each scoring 21 runs. Former Pakistan cricket team skipper Shahid Afridi scored only 16 runs.
Left-arm spinner Hamza Hotak bowled well for the visitors capturing a five-wicket haul. He gave away only 15 runs. Dollat Zadran grabbed two wickets.
In response, Afghanistan A reached the victory total in 19th over, losing only one wicket. Muhammad Shahzad batted brilliantly for the scoring 58 runs with the help of eight boundaries and two sixes. Karim Sadiq also batted well playing an unbeaten knock of 36 runs.
