HRCP condemns killing of polio vaccinators

Islamabad: The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan HRCP has strongly condemned the killing of polio vaccinators in Karachi and Peshawar and demanded the arrest of the perpetrators and compensation for the bereaved families.

In a statement‚ the commission said the attacks are the height of brutality and a bid to rob Pakistan’s children of a healthy future. HRCP called upon all political parties‚ media‚ civil society and community leaders to unequivocally denounce the barbaric targeting of those who work to save children from disability and death.
