I will take all the people along, Governor

Peshawar: The Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has said that keeping in view the given circumstances, it is must to work collectively and it will be his utmost effort too to take the people along.

Being political governor from FATA, he added, he fully realizes the gravity of the circumstances and wishes to be actively supported by both young and elders to restore peace and normalcy; ease life for internally dislocated people and make holding of general election in a transparent, fair and free atmosphere.

He was talking to a number of delegations comprising, tribal elders, ex and sitting senators, members of national and provincial assemblies, prominent citizens from different parts of the province and FATA and the common people who have come to congratulate him at Governor’s House here on Monday.

Provincial ministers, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Mr. Hidayatullah Khan, Engineer Muhammad Humayun Khan, MNA Mr. Bilal Afridi also separately called on Engineer Shaukatullah Khan and congratulated him on assuming the office of the Governor.

Talking on the occasion, the Governor further stated, it indeed is his utmost desire and he will strive too to ensure restoration of normalcy and safe life right from Bajaur to South Waziristan in particular. Our people are very sincere and devoted for better of the country and youth are blessed with tremendous abilities of head and heart and I wish that they should work collectively for their betterment and the country too.

While talking to tribal delegations, the Governor said that the public institutions especially the hospitals and schools are meant for well being of the people and we also have to ensure their efficient working in the best interest of the people

“I always be available to work for collective well being of the people and also try my best to reach to them”, he added. He particularly to the plight of internally dislocated people from FATA and assured to make every effort resolve the problems of immediate nature.

Meanwhile the delegations comprising elders both from the province and FATA congratulated Engineer Shaukatullah on assuming the office of the governor and welcomed his feelings and commitments.

They also vowed not to spare any effort to bring peace, restore normalcy and help in the establishment of an environment wherein free, fair and transparent elections are held. The tribal elders while congratulating the Governor said that they equally feel honoured on his new assignment as governor of the province and they fully realize their role and responsibilities for ensuring its dignity.

A 25 – member delegation of lawyers representing FATA Lawyers Forum led by its President, Mr. Ejaz Momand Advocate also called on the Governor at Governor’s House, Peshawar and congratulated him on assuming the office. They also referred to the reforms process in FATA and put forward their suggestions too for making it a success.
