Intellectual Security and Counter-extremism conference to kick off in Mogadishu today

Mogadishu The Intellectual Security and Countering Extremism conference, organized by the Federal Government of Somalia under the auspices of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is set to kick off Monday in Mogadishu.

Some 12 representatives from OIC member states, 30 international faith scholars and 12 Somali religious leaders will be participating in this two-day conference.

A number of representatives from OIC countries and experts will deliver speeches on the overall frameworks, objectives, and messages that highlight the intellectual security and countering extremism.
