IWCCI lauds PM’s youth programme

Islamabad: The Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry IWCCI on Sunday said PMLN led government is trying to bring out the power in the young people which is a step in the right direction.

The initiatives of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will go a long way in empowering youth by providing them unparalleled opportunities, said Samina Fazil, founder President IWCCI while speaking at an award distribution ceremony.

She said that new schemes announced for youth will bring stability and development while loan facility on low markup rate for youth to start businesses would ensure personal as well as national development.

Samina Fazil said that it is the firstever time a government has seriously realised the potential of youth and taken steps to enable them to face challenges of the new age.

As many as 34 per cent of total population comprises age group of 15 and 29 years which will be included in the economic mainstream which will eradicate negative tendencies which will be a new beginning for them.

She said that package worth Rs 20 billion for the country’s youth to fund six major projects would lay foundation of a strong Pakistan; it will also help empower women who are 51 per cent of the total population. Samina Fazil said that youth need opportunities for leading a successful and productive life which is being ensured through timely initiatives.

She called upon the youth develop confidence and skills and come up to the expectations of the society by doing their best so that we can become a self-sustaining nation.
