JI leader’s house looted

KARACHI: A broad-day light robbery was committed at the residence of Jamaat-e-Islami JI former Union Council Nazim Junaid Makati in Bahadurabad area.

A JI release said four unidentified armed robbers barged into the house of JI leader Junaid Makati and took away Rs80, 000 cash, gold ornaments and licensed short gun repeater.

The armed robbers also looted a family residing on the upper portion of Makati’s house and also took away cash and gold ornaments. The robbers fled from the scene after swift operation. Makati has registered an FIR of the incident at Bahadurabad Police Station.

Meanwhile, Acting JI Karachi Chief Barjees Ahmed has expressed deep concern over the robbery incident in broad-day light.

Condemning the incident, Ahmed said that the officials of Law Enforcing Agencies LEAs have completely failed to ensure safety to the life and property of the people.
