JI to file nomination on all Karachi seats

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leaders Nasrullah Shajih and Engineer Abdul Aziz filed the nomination papers.

Naib Ameer JI and former Deputy Parliamentary leader in Sind Assembly Nasrullah Shajih yesterday filed the nomination papers for NA-252 and PS-116 while JI leader and Secretary Al-Khidmat Welfare Society Engineer Abdul Aziz filed the nomination papers for PS-110, 112 and 113.

A large number of JI workers was present on the occasion.

Talking to media, Shajih said that the JI will file nomination papers from all constituencies of Karachi, adding seat adjustment would be made in the larger interest of Karachiites, except with the former coalition government partners.

He said talks on seat adjustment are under way with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Fazl (JUI-F), Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), Sunni Tehreek (ST) and others parties. However, he denied any parley with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in this regard.
