KESC restores rain-tripped feeders

Karachi: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) in a statement Monday said that all feeders that had tripped during the recent heavy rains in the City had been restored.

It appealed the KWSB authorities to clear rainwater pools from various city areas as soon as possible because its maintenance teams had been facing difficulty to repair power supply faults at such places.

KESC further said that at certain kunda-infested places the wires used for illegal connections had been broken by thunderstorm which had fallen down into the standing rainwater pools.

While expressing concern over y incidents of violent agitation and burning of assets at certain KESC offices, it said that such incidents blocked the restoration of power supply by damaging the equipment used for repair of faults. It asked the law enforcing agencies to provide security to its offices and staff.
