RATODERO: Sindh’s senior minister for education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the recommendation culture has ended in education department now as 45 offer letters are being distributed among the successful candidates of Larkana division who passed NTS test about a year ago.
He was addressing a gathering held in Government Pilot Higher Secondary School in Larkana as chief guest on Saturday evening. He distributed 45 offer letters of High School Teachers HSTs among the successful candidates of Larkana, Shikarpur and Kandhkot districts and revealed that the District Officers of Jacobabad and Kambar Shahdadkot districts have not so far sent him required documents of the successful candidates and as soon as the same are received offer letters will also be given to the passed candidates. Education minister announced that they want to recruit one thousand HSTs in Sindh and added that offer letters will also be given to all the candidates in the province very soon who have cleared NTS test held a year ago.
He claimed that world should now know that PPP government gives jobs on merit only. Khuhro further announced that 7000 JSTs and 12000 PSTs would be recruited in Sindh. The minister asked the teachers of high schools and colleges to improve the standard of education in the province. The newly appointed teachers will have to serve at their place of posting for three years and will not be transferred during this time; Khuhro sought the promise from the candidates and further added that this period will also be treated as their probationary period.
He further asked them that they should not try to get themselves transferred out of their place of posting during their 3year period and if they discharged their duties efficiently, honestly & diligently then their services will be confirmed. Commissioner Larkana Saeed Mangnejo said on the occasion that standard of education can only be improved if teachers are selected purely on merit. He further said that teachers will have to improve their performance so that education level in Sindh could improve.
Special Secretary for Education Pervaiz Ahmed Sehar said that this is the third round of delivering offer letters to the successful candidates as it was started from Benazirabad Nawabshah. 27 candidates were from Larkana, 8 from Shikarpur and 7 from Kandhkot @ Kashmore districts.
