KWSB plans completing 23km water line before hot summer

Karachi: Managing Director Karachi Water & Sewerage Board Misbahuddin Farid visited the site where 23 kilometres long, 36 inch diameter main water supply line is being laid out.

During his inspection visit he directed the concerned Chief Engineers and Staff that the pipeline must be laid within a month before the weather gets extremely hot. Chief Engineer Saleem Siddiqui, Muneer Ahmed and other concerned officers were also present with him.

Misbahuddin Farid also met the residents of the area and briefed them about the project. He also appealed them to pay their bills on time so that KW&SB continue to serve them.

M.D KW&SB during his visit stated that the project is of vital important for ensuring swift supply to tail end consumers therefore, it is extremely important that the line is laid before weather gets extremely hot so that the residents of these areas are supplied with ample water. With the completion of this project Malir, Landhi, Korangi and their adjoining areas especially the tail end consumer would benefit with ample supply of water.

The project would cost 1100 million rupees, whereas, with the completion of this project Malir, Khokhrapar, Moeen Abad, Memon Goth and adjoining areas would be supplied with ample water.
