Law, order: Contingents of district police summoned to Karachi

Karachi: Taking notice of the worsening law and order situation in Karachi, Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah as ordered summoning reserve contingents of police from all districts of the province to Karachi.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon told media on Thursday that a highlevel meeting was held with CM Qaim Shah in chair which reviewed the law and order situation of the city and decided to summon the reserve contingents of police from all districts of the province to Karachi.

He said these police contingents are scheduled to reach the city by Friday and they would be deployed in all sensitive areas. He said a well coordinated operation would also be launched against the criminal elements in Karachi.
