Maintenance of law and order top priority of the govt, PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that maintenance of law and order is the top priority of the government and we will ensure that it is maintained at all costs. A concerted effort and united stand will enable us to achieve the desired results, PM added.

PM said this while talking to a parliamentary delegation comprising of all political parties headed by Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Chief Minister Baluchistan. The delegation comprised of Senator Mushahid Hussain, Senator Daud Khan, Senator Haji Adeel, Senator Abdul Rauf Lala, Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Abdul Wasey, and other Members of Balochistan Assembly and provincial leaders.

Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Chief Minister Baluchistan assured the Prime Minister of his support on government’ s policy on terrorism said that we will follow the government’s policy on this issue. We are together against the terrorists and want to give a strong message to them through our unity, he added. Peace and security are of paramount for us, Malik said.

CM Balochistan asked for assistance of the PM in recovery of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kansi, leader of ANP from Baluchistan. We want that the menace of kidnapping for ransom be eliminated from our province and need support of federal government in this respect, Dr. Abdul Malik added.

PM expressed his deep concern over the kidnapping for ransom phenomenon and assured the delegation that he will take personal interest in recovery of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kansi. I am also concerned about the sons of Former Premier Yusuf Raza Gillani and Late Governor Salman Taseer, PM added. PM said that he will direct all the heads of intelligence agencies to make concerted efforts to recover them soon.

The delegation appreciated the stance of PM against terrorism and expressed their confidence in the leadership of the Prime Minister.
