Lahore: Major group paintings exhibition of 7 Pakistani and Indian artists is getting underway in Dubai on November 22 and is scheduled to continue for two days.
The art show of Indian and Pakistani artists has been organized at Raffles Hotel in Dubai by Samsara Art Gallery of India.
Prominent artist of international fame and reputation Jimmy Engineer is the only Pakistani artist who has been invited by the organizers to the group art show. Jimmy Engineer has already reached Dubai from Karachi for participation in the art show and to display his 11 original paintings including “Allah” written on four canvasses impressively and beautifully in colours and seven architectural compositions highlighting historical and cultural heritage of Pakistan, India and other countries.
Six Indian artists whose paintings are on display in the group exhibition are Jayesh Sachdeva, Shakti Burman, Snehal Gangrekar, H.R. Das, Jayesh Sharma and Anoli.
Most of the Indian artists will also be present at the inauguration of the art show by the Indian and Pakistani Ambassadors to the UAE, says a message from the organizers.
Group paintings exhibition in Dubai is Jimmy Engineer’s sixth international exhibition this year alone. He has already participated in 2013 in a group art show of Pakistani artists in Jakarta, Indonesia and organized solo exhibitions of his selected art work twice in Singapore and once each in Bangkok, Thailand and Mississauga, Canada.
