A police personnel was martyred and two others injured when unknown terrorists opened fire on a police check post near an archaeological site in Takht Bhai area of district Mardan today. According to police, the injured have been shifted to Mardan Medical Complex. Police have launched a search operation in the area to arrest the culprits. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of police personnel. In a statement issued in Peshawar today, he prayed for the departed soul and early recovery of the injured.
