The meeting commenced with discussion on the Bill titled "The Islamabad Capital Territory Trust (Amendment) Bill 2022". Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati opined that there seems nothing in the bill which needs to be amended. He expressed displeasure on the absence of senior officials of ministry of interior and Islamabad Capital administration. Chairman Committee directed the Ministry Officials to present their point of view on the Bill in the next meeting. The Chair deferred the further consideration of the bill till the next meeting.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Safron, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, State Minister for Law and Justice Senator Shahadat Awan, Senator Atta Ur Rehman, Senator Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Senator Muhammad Tahir Bizinjo, Senator Umer Farooq, Senator Fawzia Arshad, Senator Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Senator Saifullah Abro, Senator Faisal Saleem Rehman, Senator Moula Bux Chandio, Senator Mohsin Aziz and officials of the concerned department.
