In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has demanded a stern action against Rashtriya Rifles sector's former commander Brigadier Ajay Kotach and all other officers and soldiers involved in the killing of innocent Kashmiri youth in staged encounters.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders including Syed Bashir Andrabi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Khadim Hussain while reacting to the award of life imprisonment to the Indian Army’s Captain Bhopendra Singh for killing three labourers in a fake encounter in Shopian on 18 July 2020 said Brigadier Ajay Kotach was equally responsible for the gruesome massacre.

The APHC leaders said, now that it has been established after completion of court martial proceedings against Captain Bhopendra Singh that the youth were innocent and were killed in the staged encounter, commander Brigadier Ajay Kotach and all other such characters should also be accorded due punishment.

Senior APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, in a massage form India’s Tihar Jail made it clear to the Modi-led Indian regime that it cannot change the ground realities in Kashmir by implementing its Hindutva agenda and sooner or later it will have to accede to the UN-sponsored settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

He deplored that all basic human and religious rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been usurped by New Delhi.
