NA Ambassador of Morocco CALLs ON SPEAKER NA

Islamabad: Speaker, National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Pakistan attaches immense value to its relations with Morocco since both the countries shared common faith, culture and understanding on all major international issues.

He said that regular interaction between political leadership, people and parliaments of both the brotherly countries would further augment the existing ties. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was talking to Mr. Mustapha Salahdine, Ambassador of Morocco who called on him in Parliament House, this afternoon.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the recent years have witnessed smooth development of bilateral relationship, increasingly strengthened constructive cooperation, active exchanges of people & culture and positive consultation and coordination on international affairs between Pakistan and Morocco.

He expressed the desire to further cement the ties through Parliamentary Cooperation and people to people contact. He said that Pakistan Morocco friendship group would be activated in National Assembly of Pakistan shortly and desired for reciprocation in the Moroccan Legislature.

The Speaker said that government of Pakistan has carried out major restructuring of economic sector and has introduced pro-investment polices from which foreign investors could take advantage. He asked the Ambassador to persuade Moroccan investors to utilize the immense economic potential in Pakistan for mutual benefit of the both the countries. He asked for further diversification of the existing collaboration between both the countries.

Ambassador of Morocco Mr. Mustapha Salahdine agreed with the Speaker and said that his government also attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Pakistan and wants to further strengthen and diversify them through economic and parliamentary ties.

He said that Parliaments of both the countries could play important role in further consolidating existing bilateral ties.

Later, the outgoing Ambassador of Turkey Mr. Babur Hizlan paid a courtesy call on Speaker, National Assembly. The Speaker praised the Turkish Ambassador for his endeavours for bringing both the countries more closer during his tenure in Pakistan.

He said that collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey had considerably increased due to his sincere efforts. He hoped that his successor will follow the suite and take the relation between both the countries to the highest level.

Mr. Babur Hizlan, Ambassador thanked the government and people of Pakistan for the warmth expressed to him during his stay in Pakistan. He said that his successor was a seasoned diplomat who would continue to further cement the relations between both the countries. He reaffirmed his government’s continued support to the government and people of Pakistan.
