Negotiating team to hold meeting with Tehreek Minhajul Quran today, says Kaira

Islamabad: Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira said that a meeting will be held with Tehreek Minhajul Quran Chief Tahirul Qadri in Lahore today Sunday to discuss implementation of the agreement reached with him.

He stated this while talking to media persons on Saturday. He said that consultation has been done about the implementation of the agreement with Tahirul Qadri in light of the constitution.

Minister for Law Farooq H Naek will present a detailed report, highlighting various constitutional aspects of implementing the Islamabad Declaration, he added.

Answering a question minister said that country was created and protected by politicians. He said politicians were not allowed to work otherwise there are politicians who have sacrificed their lives for this country.

Responding to another question Information Minister said that the former OGRA Chief Tauqir Sadiq was appointed on the recommendation of a committee, and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf was not responsible for his actions.

Kaira said that media should focus on court verdicts rather than highlighting remarks during the proceedings in order to avoid creating sensation.
