The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the deadly attack by terrorist group Boko Haram on a military base in Nigeria's Borno State, which claimed the lives of one officer and 30 soldiers and left others wounded.
OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen expressed dismay at the senseless attack by the terrorist group and conveyed his deep sympathy and condolences to the Nigerian authorities and the families of the victims.
The secretary general reaffirmed the principled stance of the OIC against terrorism as an enemy of humanity. He also assured Nigeria and the other countries in the region of the Organization's determination to continue to support their counterterrorism efforts.
