KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has said that the solidarity of Pakistan links with the ideology of Islam, as the country came into being on the name of Islam.
He expressed these views after the flag hoisting ceremony in connection with Independence Day, held at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Tuesday. Talking to media, Mehanti said that there was an only way to bring the country from hot waters by following the Islamic rules.
Commenting on the recent situation at Line of Control LoC, JI Karachi chief said that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan Army in order to react against India’s barbarism. Mehanti said that the every Pakistani was ready to sacrifice his life on the solidarity of the beloved homeland, same as they did in 1947.
He regretted that the Islamic rules are not being followed in the country despite passage of 66 years of independence; owing to this the country was facing external and internal threats in recent days. He emphasized upon the imposition of Islamic rules with its true spirit in order to rid the country of external and internal challenges.
“It is imperative that every individual should play his due role in order to follow the guide lines of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of the nation”, he added. JI General Secretary Karachi Naseem Siddiqui, Naib Ameers Barjees Ahmed, Raja Arif Sultan, Nasrullah Shajih, Secretary Information Zahid Askari and others were also present on the occasion.
