PCG seizes 500 kg hashish

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards PCG said on Tuesday that it seized fine quality of hashish from Shumal Bandar near Pasni airport in Balochistan.

On credible information from intelligence resources about the smuggling of narcotics in Shumal Bandar near Pasni airport, a seizure was carried out by PCG special mobile patrol.

At night, during search operation drug traffickers opened fire on seeing coast guards patrolling team. After exchange of the fire, drug traffickers managed to flee from the scene by taking advantage of darkness and mountainous terrain.

During search operation, PCG officials recovered 500 kilograms of fine quality hashish from desolate mountainous area having Rs9,000,000 approximate value in the market.

Further investigation was underway by the PCG special investigation team.
