Thatta, Sindh: Efforts are underway to form a grand political alliance in Sindh to contest the coming general elections, provincial chief of PML-N Syed Ghaus Ali Shah said here on Saturday.
“The grand alliance would include Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) and all the nationalist parties of province,” he said while talking to media and speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by party leader Ms. Marvi Memon at her residence here. “The talks for the grand alliance are underway between Pir Sahib and leaders of other parties.
Syed Ghaus Ali Shah said PPP’s allies MQM and ANP wouldn’t be included in the alliance.
He said a number of prominent political figures of Sindh would soon join PML-N.
On a query, he said making comments on probabilities of joining PML-N of Sheerazi brothers and Malkanis would be premature.
Criticizing the PPP, Syed Ghaus Ali Shah said it has insulted the mandate of Sindhi nation by dividing the province administratively through the disputed LG law. He however vowed to fight against all anti-Sindh elements.
He said Kala Bagh Dam couldn’t be built with consent of all the four provinces.
