PM’s visits to Sri Lanka‚ Thailand to speed up economic activities: FO

Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesman Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visits to Sri Lanka and Thailand would help boost economic and trade activity in the country and the region.

In an interview‚ he said that during his visits‚ the Prime Minister invited foreign investors to avail opportunities in different sectors including Information Technology‚ Telecom and energy.

The spokesman said the government holds a clear agenda envisaging socio-economic development of the country.

To a question‚ Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry said in his earlier visits abroad‚ Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif forcefully raised the Kashmir and drone attacks issues at the UN Assembly session and other forums in Washington.
