Mithi, Sindh: The local police arrested the five leaders of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party STPP Ghansham Malhi, Mushtaque Qasimani, Om Malhi, Lal Malhi and Kishwar Malhi when they were leading a demonstration here on Sunday against the arrests of their party workers.

The arrested leaders were locked up at Mithi police station in a case of burning PPP flag. Police said a PPP worker Dilip Lohana had lodged FIR against 12 STPP leaders and workers for setting the PPP flag on fire.

It may be mentioned that a few days back the PPP workers and STPP workers had a brawl during the visit of STPP chief Dr. Qadir Magsi.

Meanwhile, STPP workers staged sit-in and observed token hunger strike outside Mithi press club to protest against arrests.
