Power tariff hike slated

RATODERO: Larkana Chamber of Commerce & Industry has termed the electricity tariff hike as amounting to snatching the right to live from the poor people. In an emergency meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Haji Anwar Shaikh, the meeting totally rejected the increase in power and petrol prices announced by the federal government and unanimously decided to urge the Prime Minister to take back the decision which will be fatal for the industries, trade, agriculture and the common man who are already suffering due to poverty.

They further asked the Prime Minister to also take the enhancement of POL prices due to which prices of commodities will further increase beyond the reach of poor. Asif Raza Shaikh, Shamshad Shaikh, Hafiz Suleman Shaikh & others participated in the meeting.
