Lahore: The Punjab Education Foundation PEF has provided conducive atmosphere to the students in partner schools so that the students could grow with a balanced personality and excel in practical life with confidence.
Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Anwar stated this while addressing a partner school function at Chungi Amersidhu on Thursday.
Addressing the function, Raja Anwar maintained that PEF has played an active role in strengthening the low-cost schools in the province through capacity building of teachers so that students could enjoy quality education. He informed that PEF has provided quality library books to its partner schools so that the cosmopolitan worldview of the students could be broadened and they could be able to move with the changing times. Similarly, corporal punishment is strictly banned in the partner schools and PEF is a pioneer organization which adopted institutional mechanism to completely eradicate this menace from its partner institutions, he added. PEF has ensured that its students not only study but also recognize their individual capacities and talents; for this purpose, co-curricular activities have been encouraged in the partner schools.
He also told that a plan has been chalked out to educate the poor and out of school children. These children, both female and male, will be given free education in partner schools where fee and text books will be provided by the PEF. This initiative would give an opportunity to the hapless children to change their lives through education, concluded raja Anwar.
