KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party PPP on Wednesday announced list of National and Provincial Assemblies’ candidates proposed by the parliamentary board of PPP Sindh, excluding Karachi and Thatta, for contesting general elections.
The announcement was made by President PPP Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while addressing a press conference at ex-information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon’s House in DHA here. Sharjeel Inam Memon, Taj Hyder and Waqar Mehdi were also present on the occasion.
Shah announced the names of following candidates: Nauman Islamuddin Shaikh for NA198, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah for NA199, Khalid Ahmed Lund for NA200, Sardar Ali Gohar Khan Mahar for NA201, Aftab Shaban Mirani for NA202, Sardar Wahid Bux Bhayo for NA203, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro for NA204, Nazir Ahmed Bughio for NA205, Amir Khan Magsi for NA206, Faryal Talpur for NA207, Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani for Na208, Hazar Khan Bijarani/ Shabbir Ahmed Bijarani for NA209, Ahsanur Rahman Mazari for NA210, Zulfiqar Ali Behan for Na211, Syed Asghar Ali Shah for NA212 and Azra Fazal Pechuho for NA213, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah for NA214, Nawab Wassan for NA215, Sajid Banbhan for NA217, Makhdoom Muhammad Ameen Faheem for NA218, Ali Muhammad Sahito for NA219, Sagheer Ahmed Qureshi for NA220, Syed Ameer Ali Shah Jamote for NA221, Syed Naveed Qamar for NA222, Abdul Sattar Bachani for NA223, Sardar Kamal Khan Chang for NA224, Fahmeeda Mirza for NA225, Shafqat Shah for NA226, Munawar Ali Talpur for NA227, Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur for NA228, Faqir Sher Muhammad for NA229, Pir Noor Muhammad Shah for NA230, Malik Asad Sikandar for NA231, Sardar Rafique Ahmed Jamali for NA232, Zafar Laghari for NA233, Fida Ali Butt for NA234, Shazia Marri for NA235, Roshan Din Junejo for NA236 will be the candidates from PPP in General election2013.
Qaim said PPP doors are open for seat adjustment and the process of reconciliation of PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari would continue. He said those who left the party had their own choice. He said PPP had done a great work for development of people in Sindh and poverty alleviation in Sindh in last five years during PPP government.
Answering to a question, Shah said PPP had contested last general election in presence of former president Pervez Musharraf and won them. He said it was just propaganda that PPP has deployed its favourite secretaries and bureaucrats in country to help PPP win polls.
