Senate condemns killings of polio workers

Islamabad: The Senate Thursday passed a unanimous resolution strongly condemning the brutal killings of the polio workers in Karachi and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and demanded the government to take strict measures to ensure security of the polio teams.

The resolution demanded that all the culprits involved in the incidents should be arrested and brought to justice. It demanded that the victims of these incidents should be compensated.

It said that the campaign should continue without any hindrance to completely eradicate the polio from the country and to save the lives of our children.

The resolution was jointly moved by Leader of the House, Leader of the Opposition and JUI-F and MQM leaders.
