Senate passes resolution condemning Mardan attack

Islamabad: The Senate Wednesday passed a unanimous resolution condemning the terrorist attack on the innocent people in Mardan that resulted in loss of precious lives including a Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly member and injuring a number of people.

In the resolution moved by Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq‚ the House expressed deep grief over the incident and sympathies with the bereaved families.

The resolution demanded speedy investigation into the incident to provide justice to the affectees.

The House also demanded the provincial government to take appropriate measures in coordination with all the stakeholders to safeguard the lives of the people of the province.
