In Spain, at least seven were killed as a bus plunged from a bridge into a river on Christmas Eve in Galicia region.
Emergency services said the bus was travelling from Lugo to Vigo when it fell from a height of about a hundred feet into the fast-flowing river.
Officials say bad weather may have caused the crash.
