SHC appoints nazir to inspect alleged illegal stricter

Karachi: The Sindh High Court SHC on Monday appointed its nazir as commissioner to inspect the land where private respondent is allegedly carrying out illegal construction.

The Petitioner, Shanti Nagar Association, thorough its general secretary submitted that an owner of plot was raising illegal construction on plot no. A/8 Shanti Nagar Sindhi Para in front of GM Syed Park.

The petitioner submitted that on said the plot a seven storied building was being constructed without an approved map from Sindh Building Control Authority which could cause danger to lives of people living in vicinity.

Headed by Justice Maqbool Baqar, the division bench directed the nazir of the court to carry out inspection of said plot and he will also report to the court state, nature and stage of construction and as whether such construction is being raised in violation of any law or any approved plan.

The court also directed the concerned director and the deputy of Sindh building control authority to ensure the compliance of this court’s orders or else they shall be held responsible.
