Sports: Boxing: All Pakistan Boxing C’ship begins today

Karachi: The second edition of Late Hyder Ali All Pakistan Boxing Championship begins today Thursday in Hyderabad.

The tournament will also serve as an opportunity the junior boxers to impress the selectors and get selected for the national camp.

The team for upcoming international events will then be selected from the boxers of the national camp.

The tournament will be competed in age limit between 17 and 18 years where the young pugilists will get a chance to compete in weight categories of 49 Kg, 52 Kg, 56 Kg, 60 Kg, 64 Kg, 69 Kg, 75 Kg and 81 Kg.

The different weight categories of 46 Kg, 48 Kg, 50 Kg, 52 Kg, 54 Kg and 56 Kg will also be competed among boxers within the age limit of above 15 and under 16 years separately.

The championship is schedule to conclude on 8th December.
