Sports: Cricket: Afridi overlooked for ODIs in India

Karachi: Although the off-colour allrounder Shahid Afridi retained for the T20 matches, the former skipper has been overlooked for the ODI series of the upcoming tour of India.

Afridi, who came under immense criticism after below par showing in the T20 World Cup, went out of the favours of the selectors for the ODI series along with allrounder Abdul Razzaq and Imran Nazir. However, Razzaq and Imran have both been axed from both formats.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hafeez has been retained as T20 skipper while Misbahul Haq will lead the one day side.

Pakistan is set to tour India and will play matches between 25th December and 6th January. The two sides will play three ODIs two T20s, which will be the first bilateral series between the two archrivals in five years.
