Karachi: Former Pakistan’s cricketer Sadiq Mohammad said that Pakistan cricket team will have an edge against South Africans in the ODI series and advised the team’s batsmen to stay on crease till the ball of their inning.
“I think Pakistan will have an edge against South Africa in the ODI series. But I would advise the team not to lose their wickets and play all of their overs either batting first or second,” Sadiq said on the eve of the first ODI match between host South Africa and Pakistan at Bloemfontein on Sunday.
He said Pakistan’s bowling line in the ODIs gives the visitors.
Pakistan has recorded an imposing 95run victory in the only T20 match played between the two sides at Centurion after the first of the two T20 matches was washed away in Durban without a ball being bowled.
However, the visitors earlier conceded a humiliating 30 defeat in the three match Test series.
However, Sadiq said that Pakistan will have better chances in ODI series as compared to the results of the Test series.
“Pakistan has showed that it is a better team in limited over than Test after winning the T20 match by 95 runs,” he added.
