Peshawar: The ambassador of Switzerland called on Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak and discussed with him matters of mutual interest. The Swiss ambassador especially showed interest for investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the context of Strategic Partnership Development Framework. Under this initiative of the provincial government, 13 European countries had consortium and have signed a unified investment agreement with the province.
On this occasion, the Swiss ambassador mentioned intention of Swiss govt and investors relating to cooperation in energy, law & order, employment generation and skill development programs. In head of law and order, the consortium besides capacity building will provide latest equipment to police.
For employment generation, the consortium will start employment generation oriented projects while under skill development, youth will be imparted world-class hotel management training for which Switzerland enjoyed a world fame on hotel management and hotel tourism.
The Swiss ambassador told the KP Chief Minister that the members of the consortium have planned the construction of 24 schools for girls and boys that were destroyed in terror blasts in the terror hit Swat. Out of them work on 7 schools has already been started while construction work on the remaining 17 will start soon. He invited Pervez Khattak for the inauguration of the two such schools in Swat on completion, which the later accepted.
