KARACHI: Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in collaboration with Vascular Interventional Courses (VIC) Group is organizing a one-day symposium on “Vascular & Interventional Radiology Course” on 11th December at 9 am on DUHS Ojha campus.
The aim of the symposium was to focus on the relatively new field of Interventional Radiology (IR) and its application in different specialties such as Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary, Peripheral Arterial and Venous diseases, Urogenital diseases, Oncology and its role in Neurology and Stroke management.
Multiple local and international speakers will give various talks on the subjects followed by demonstration of the various hi-tech catheters and devices frequently used in IR. The symposium is mainly targeted towards medical students to offer them a glance into the world of IR and also to give them career guidance. The registration of the symposium is free.
The symposium will be followed by a comprehensive two-day (12 and 13 December) workshop on detailed procedures offered by IR and hands on demonstration of various devices. It will be conducted by many national and international speakers. It will be valid for a total of 16 CME credit hours.
