Three die in road mishaps

Karachi: Three people were killed in separate road mishaps in the city on Thursday. A30yearold man, Zakirullah, son of Hazrat Ghani, resident of Upper Gizri, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him near KPT Carriers Office, Keamari, within the remit of Mauripur police station.

The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center JPMC for medicolegal formalities. Separately, a 30yearold woman, Naheed, wife of Iftikhar, resident of Shah Faisal Colony, died when a fast-moving bus hit a bike near Green Town, within the jurisdiction of Airport police station.

The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy. The Airport police arrested the bus conductor and impounded the vehicle. Similarly, another man, aged around 25, was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Zia Colon Korangi Town, within the precincts of Korangi police station. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet. The body was brought to JPMC for a postmortem.
