KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court-II (ATC-II) on Friday sentenced a Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) man to life imprisonment in double murder case.
Shah Faisal Masood was found guilty of killing head constable Nadeem and constable Mohammad Sajid of Taimuria police station in Manghopir on 03 March 2012. His accomplice Yaseen Masood fled from Taimuria police station.
The ATC-II judge pronounced the verdict after recording evidences of witnesses and final arguments from both sides.
The accused Faisal was sentenced to life imprisonment by the judge. He also announced that the convict will have to pay a fine of Rs 200,000, which will be compensated to victim family.
Moreover, Faisal was also awarded additional seven years jail term for illegal possessing weapons.
According to the prosecution, the accused was involved in murder of head constable Nadeem and constable Mohammad Sajid of Taimuria police station in Manghopir on 03 March 2012.
