Two gunned down in Karachi

Karachi: Two persons were gunned down while a drug addict drowned after faking into a ditch here on Saturday. 30yearsold Sabir S/o Salim Baig was gunned down by unidentified armed men near KDA Scheme2 Surjani Town in the remit of Surjani Town police station. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medicolegal formalities.

Medical Legal Officer MLO said the victim received four bullets and died before he could be taken to hospital.

Police said the victim had criminal record and he might be killed by some rival group.

Separately, 25yearsold Yousuf S/o Illahi Bux was killed in firing of dacoits near Power House Block19, Samanabad in the precinct of Samanabad police station. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.

Police said some dacoits were fleeing in cover of firing after looting a shop when a passerby suddenly came under firing. He received a bullet on chest and rushed to hospital for treatment where he breathed his last.

A man, aged around 30, drowned into a ditch near Mecca Masjid, Garden area in the limit of Nabi Bux Police Station. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for postmortem. The identity of deceased could not be ascertained.
Police said victim was drug addict and used to collect junk for livelihood. He drowned into a ditch that was dug to install sewerage pipeline in area.

40yearsold Yasmeen and 31yearsold Nadia were injured in a road mishap near Inquiry Office, Nazimabad area as they were hit by fast-moving vehicle while crossing the road. They were rushed to ASH for treatment.

22yearsRizwan and his mother Kalsoom, residents of Manzoor Colony were injured in a traffic accident near Baloch Colony Bridge. Rescue sources said they were going somewhere on bike when a speedy vehicle hit them. They were rushed Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
