Two Rangers’ officials missing in Karachi since Tuesday afternoon

Karachi: Two officials of Pakistan Rangers, Sind – Hawaldars Muneer Ahmed Bhutto and Aijaz Ahmed Baloch, performing security duty in Nazimabad, Karachi are reportedly missing since Tuesday afternoon.

Both the officials, posted near Nazimabad Post Office, had left for home after off time at 3.00p.m but didn’t reach home, Nawaz Bhutto, a local journalist and cousin of Hawaldar Muneer Bhutto told PPI. Muneer Ahmed Bhutto belongs to Pano Aqil and lived in Malir with wife and children. Relatives of Muneer are coming to Karachi after receiving information of his missing, he said.

He said the cell phones of the missing Hawaldars are found switched off. When the relatives of Muneer Bhutto contacted the Rangers’ officers, they told that the search for missing officials is going on and efforts are underway to track their phones, he added.

When contacted Maj. Sibtain, spokesman of Rangers, he was unaware of missing of any official and said he would check it.
