Woman among three killed in Karachi

Karachi: Three people, including a woman, were killed in the metropolis on Thursday.

A 50-year-old man, Rafiullah, son of Samiullah, was gunned down by unidentified armed men inside his house near New Haji Camp, Sultanabad, within the remit of Docks police station.

The body was moved to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.

Docks police quoting his son statement, Sohrab Khan, said that he was sleeping in upper portion of his house when heard the gunshots in the wee hours of Thursday. Police said when Sohrab reached ground portion of his house he saw his father’s body laying in the pool of blood.

Police have registered an FIR 485/2013 under section 302 against unidentified assailants on behalf of the deceased’s son Sohrab Khan.

Similarly, a 45-year-old woman, Allah Wassaye, wife of Allah Ditta, was shot dead by unidentified armed man inside her home in Noor Muhammad Goth, within the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy. Sohrab Goth police said the victim received one bullet in his stomach and died before he could be taken to hospital. No FIR was registered yet. Separately, a 29-year-old man, Sharfuddin, son of Fahyuddin, was stabbed to death by unknown assailant in Shershah area, within the precincts of Shershah police station. The body was brought to CHK for a postmortem.
